Submerged In Water
#11
Thanks NJDale for explaining how hydraulic brake system works. I thought (just as LT80) that the brakes was a sealed system. This forum is full of guys and gals that know thier stuff.
Quick question, if I extend the snorkel tube on a stock eton 90r 2 stroke, will this somehow change the air/fuel ratio. M thinking is like trying to breath through a straw, you will have an increase in resistance thus having a decrease of air in the engine.

No, the restriction to the airflow would be minimal. As long as the diameter of the snorkel was at least the same as the pipe from the carb to the filter/airbox, there should be virtually no negative effect. At 'low' velocities air flows pretty freely.

Well I'm still not able to the bike to fire even after cleaning the carb, so I took it to the dealer to have them look at it. I have been told there was no compression and both valves are bent. Is this possible to happen from being submerged in water? The bike was running when it hit the water, and I was getting spark after I got it home to fix it.
