Default Wont turn over

OOPs I just posted this in the big suzuki section.
My neighbor just gave me a like new 2003 80 suzuki 4-wheeler and said it needed a battery. I put in a new battery and the kids rode it around for a couple minutes then it died. The starter wont engage now and it just makes a ticking sound under the seat. I think it is a relay the little black one with 4 wires going into it. If that is what it is. The battery is still good. any help guys

I would check for voltage making it to the starter. The relay between the battery and starter may be toast. Use a multimeter to check the starter leads for the presence of voltage while someone hit the start button. If voltage never makes it to the starter, work back from there. I would also check to verify the battery still has a charge. A weak charge will only provide enough voltage to give you the "ticking" you are hearing.

I checked the battery but will check the voltage going to the starter just to make sure. The reason I think it is the relay is because it is whats making noise not the starter. Is there any way to pass the relay and go straight to the starter? Just fishing here

You can, but the relay is what tells the starter when to engage, and when not to engage. Bypassing the relay to the starter would be like taking a screwdriver and arcing the solenoid on a car. You can do this is as test to rule out the starter if you wish.
