chinese 100cc gear ratios.
#1
Hi from Noo Zeeland. Guy's I looking for information that will tell me the gear ratios on a Honda clone 110cc semi automatic 3 forward and reverse gearbox. I would like to get a higher speed out of my atv. It currently has a 14t front and a 39t rear sprocket. I would like to lower the rear teeth count to around 33T, would his give a higher top speed without being over geared. My atv is used for beach racing and not for off road, so losing low end torque is not a problem. thanks in advance. RAY

instead of replacing the rear sprocket, i'd buy a couple of front sprockets first, they make front countershaft sprockets from 12-18 teeth for your engine, the front sprocket is the sprocket you change to get as close as the final gear ratio you're looking for and then you can fine tune the ratio with the rear spocket. my surggestion would be to purchase a 15 and a 16 tooth C/S sprocket,

Hi guys.
Sorted the geraing ratio. I put a 15t sprocket on the front and a 20t on the rear. was at 14t front and 39t rear.
Had to get the 20 tooth machined to suit the chain width and bored out to suit the axle hub.
It go's plenty fast now (tried in the back yard only)
but after injuring my back Go Karting I have'nt been able to do much at all, as I'm now stuck in a wheelchair. Guess I'll convert the ATV seat and add a back rest, so I can be strapped into it.
