Default Hot rodding a KFX50

First, I want to thank all of you who have posted your adventures with the LT/KFX50. I spent $1600 on this bike (leftover 07), and he does not want to ride it because it's not as fast as his Hensim 70.

SO far, I have pulled the clutch disc, opened up the exhaust, and the throttle screw is all the way out.

I looked at the unlimited CDI box from OORacing, I'm just afraid it will blow up when he pegs it across the sand pit. Has anyone seen or tried the kit from CTRacing??

I am looking to change the tires/wheels and sprockets to get some more rip.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Yours is the four-stroke version of that machine. As such, it's my understanding that the main restriction is the CDI box itself. All the mods in the world aren't going to overcome a restriction in there. This isn't like the older two-stroke versions where you could tweak and tune to your heart's content... the electronics are between you and your desired performance.

I think replacing the CDI box is in your future....

The CT Racing kit isn't for the new 07-current Kawasaki 50/90's. Totally different animal. The OORACING CDI is a great addition. Just by itself will make a world of difference. I not gonna promise, but I really don't think you'll smoke the engine. My son has been racing with that box for over a year now with zero issues. It will take it awhile for it to get up into the 10000+ rpm range if your still running you stock CVT rollers.
