Which chinese quad is the best?

i've got to figure something out quick. only 23 days to go. my dad has 3 of the suzuki 50's for grandkids and looked at the specs on those. 31" wide with the 7" tires vs some of these chinese ones at 26" wide and 6" tires sounds like a big different for stability. but those suzuki's are a joke price wise

To my experience my daughter has an Akuma 110, my wife has a JCL 150, and i have a Roketa 250. We have had no real problems out of our bikes. We had the 110 for three years and we have had the 150 and 250 for about a year, and they still have the orginal battery in them, but the JCL has been the best so far.

Well, I'll start looking. I am in kansas. My son is about 70lbs, I am thinking at least a 90 for him. Maybe I can run accross more of a used name brand, or if I go the chinese way I understand its kind of luck of the draw and will either save me money or give me problems and cost me more.

Hey I am also looking for a helmet for him. What is the best way to figure out his size and get a decent one with out costing me an arm and leg? Seen some at a dealer, looks like no less than $50 and on up.

I ordered mine from Dennis Kirk for my boys. I paid 70 for a really nice one for my oldest son and only 35 for my youngests son.
You measure the largest part around their head with a cloth measuring tape. Right where a baseball hat sits. Every helmet brand has its own sizing chart though so if you find a helmet you like check what sizes are for what inch range. If you are right betweent he sizes I alsway go with the larger size and even then it is still snug. Dennis Kirk has alot of things for sale for closeouts from the previous years. I got my 2 boys complete riding gear and boots for under $500.. All brand name stuff .. almost all of the stuff was 50% off or more. I am not sure what they have left though.

I have an Eton and Alphasport 90's and the Alphaport is much wider and a little taller than the Etons. Never had any problems with either until I heavily modded the Alpha. But then again I can pull wheelies on it!! Search Craigslist in your area and you can find a great deal on used. You really do get what you pay for so if possible stay with Honda, Suzuki. Polaris is good too but they are built from China just like Eton and Alphsport but again I have no issues when it was stock.

I think you need to check on where atv's were made. Polaris and Eton are made in Taiwan.. Huge difference between chinese ATV's and ones made in Taiwan.
Most of the major brands like Honda are made in Taiwan as well. There is huge quality differences between the 2.. Dont get them mixed up.

I started riding on a Baja 90 last year (when I was 14) and I had no complaints with it. I could get it up to about 50 km/h stock, with the limiter removed. Parts are readily available from their own website. I would highly recommend!
