low end bog with new pipe
#12
It just seems that you need a higher engagment, in the video it just sounds too low for a pipe that relies on rpms. The main red spring is the shifting spring so that won't effect the engagment, I would get a set of stiffer of the three little ones and have it come in harder.
I did try moving the clip on the needle(up and down) and it was much worse either way..
I have ordered some jets so we will see what effect they have..

What is the engagment of the red springs? I would personally go one set higher and I truely believe that would take care of your problems. With the work that you have done and the pipe you have created a more difinitive power band and you need to get close to that on engagment. You may even have to sit on the tank a little to keep down the front.

I talked with a guy at hetricks again..He said the torsion spring was a 1500 and the three red engagement springs were 2000 rpms and supposedly the stiffest you can get...He said the clutch shoes on the etons were heavy and that I was probably not getting a high enough stall speed even with the red springs...He felt a set of light wieght shoes would fix the problem so I ordered a set...Hopefully that will do it...
