Default Typhoon 125

I have owned one of the Xtreme 125 typhoon pit quads for almost a year now. Mine is an automatic 4 speed. So I thought I would give a little insight in to one. I posted some pictures on what I have done to make it a decent quad. First off the stock shocks look good but they do not work. I replaced them with Honda 300EX front shocks. That leveled out the quad, made it easer to steer and ride nicer. There is some steering bind at full extension due to the tie rod ends binding but not noticeable when you ride it. I used a rear shock from a 2005 Polaris 90 Predator on the rear. That works out real nice. Now you can sail the quad through the air and it lands perfect. The rear bearings failed after 6 rides when you look at them in the pictures you see why. What I did was have the bearing carriers machined out to hold Honda 400EX twin row bearings, that cost $40.00.That is a All ***** 20-1020 BEARING 40X62X20.6. Next is the terrible shifting transmission, if you use Amsoil 10w-40 motor oil that really help the shifting and the over heating problems. But still the transmission still does not shift like a Japan made transmission.
Pull the stock exhaust baffle put a foam Uni-pod air filter that wakes the motor up some.
After that I have had no problems with it. If some one has a cure for transmission please let me know.
