Eton viper 150 kickstart issue
#1
hello i have a eton viper 150cc with a problem in the kick starter, the pin(clip) on the drive pinion gear which is splined to the kick start coil/drive gear is hitting the drive gear everytime it's cranked. i flipped it upside down to c if that was the issue due to a incorrect installation, cranked it by hand and it hits and locks onto the gear. back the other way with the clip facing up and away from the pinion it hits the flywheel (drive face is what eton calls it) and causes it to seize. So my question is how is this clip installed and do i really need it? lol get back to me i'd appreciate it. this thing has been a headache. thank you for your guys's time.

now i have an Eton, just not one with a kick start. on one of my older previous quads years ago, i just moved the kicker a couple of splines over and that solved a hitting issue. but the way you're describing it, i wonder if someone has the wrong size kicker on it to begin with..
hmmm...?
hmmm...?
