PVL ignition on LT80

PVL ignition on LT80
The LT80 I had found in a barn loft awhile back has a PVL ignition on it. My question is does anyone have one? Whats the advantage to having one? How are the adjustments made? Just trying to get a little info before it gets put back together and running. Thanks
