I bought this used and cheap. Worked great until this last Fall 2014. I like others experienced the nothing. No spark, no lights, no noises when you turn the key, hold the brake and press start. I will try the brake switch override later. My question is we don't use the remote start/kill. Can I just unplug and remove? Or is it needed to run the ATV?

 

Ok, so I have fixed all the broken wires and cleaned up the rats nest of tangled wires. I attempted to remove the security system / remote start. Still nothing. But when I shorted the solenoid, the ATV started. Only problem, without the security system there is no way to shut it off. I plugged the system back in and it shuts off no problem. So is it the solenoid or the security system? Still nothing happens when I turn on the key. No light, no crank. I have replaced the key switch and the CDI. There is something loose inside the security system plastic housing when you move it around.

 

So now I took apart the remote start with alarm (did more research and found the real name too). It had many burn marks all over the boards and a couple pieces that broke loose or melted loose. I also found which wires to jump on my SNYA model remote start. (if I can figure out the attach pic I will post both the jumper and the remote start) Now by jumping the solenoid I can get it to start and run, then shut it off by any of the kill switches and the key. Problem now, I need to order the solenoid and a new battery. I forgot and charged the battery at 10A. Killed it.

 

Solenoid replaced, jumper in, new battery. Typhoon runs great!
