Default Lt80 won't start

I just finished assembling my son's LT80 from a bottom end problem. I put a good used crank in new crank seals and a new piston ane rings. Arriw towards exhaust. I assembled tge cases with yamabond 4. I went to fire it and it will not start. It has good bright blue spark and a new plug. It has 125# compression. The carb has been taken apart and the jets and passages are clean. I checked the pipe and it is clear. Stator is lined up with the mark on the case. New fresh mixed 32 to 1 gas. If I crank it with just the choke on the plug is dry. If I plugged the carb with my fingers it gets wet, so I know I'm getting fuel to the motor. This thing used to start awesome before the teardown. Does anyone have any ideas? Fuel air spark compression timing it should run!

Have you tried to just add fuel into the cylinder or use starter fluid (they now make starter fluid for 2 strokes)? If it doesn't run on starter fluid there is something amiss...

Not sure why you're not seeing a wet plug with choke on (rich condition)...

Are you feeling a good tug on your fingers when you put them over the carb (crank pulse) when turning the engine over?

You didn't mention the reed cage...is that good-to-go?

It does pull a good vacuum on my fingers. I tried a capful of gas down the cylinder that is the old standby for the other lt80 we have. No luck. It did run for about 5 seconds the other day but no dice since. I thought the gas was bad and drained it and put new in. I inspected the Reed cage it looked good. The Boyeson Reeds looked good. I have not tried starting fluid.

Thanks
Lynn

Well, I guess I had a bad new plug. Went and bought another new plug and it fired up just fine.

Thanks for the suggestions folks
