IMO, you don't need a kit, you just need to clean your carb. Dirt gets in, things get yucky. :)

But my gas is actually leaking right now, meaning I need gaskets?

On most carbs the gaskets are above the fuel level in the float chamber. Only way they will leak much out is if the float needle is stuck open and the fuel level gets high enough to run out of the overflow pipe (if it has one). I'm with LT80 on this, I never fit carb kits, and only use bits from one if I need to. Removing the jets and float needle, followed by a good clean with compressed air will usually fix a carb.
