I have a viper 90r that starts when cold then as my daughter rides and it warms up, it starts to cut out intermittently. Doesn’t completely stall but surges and I can hear when it surges it backfires. This all began a last year will on a long ride and she went through a puddle and we nursed it home thinking once it dried it would be fine. Well it’s a year later and it’s dry but this keeps reoccurring. Someone on a different thread mentioned a poor seal on the electric shifter near the starter being corroded causing them issues. Is this a possibility in my case?
