..Hmm i dunno maybe im dumb,and yes parts might get hard to find,but id still buy a Cannon..I have one and love her..no problems expect one clutch..big woppiee..I had a ex and i was a very brand loyle guy..but to be honest i had more problems with my ex...but again to be honest if my Cannon ever takes a dumpp i think id go back to the ex?? maybe??
Look its going to get hard to get motor parts."maybe" I think were going to start to see a lot of parts on ebay?.everything else on the bike IS aftermarket..and i know you can buy a piston,rod and all the bearings for the motor and trans.I just dont know if we can get trans gears??and cases??
But look theses bike have a bullit proof frame,swingarm,and good shocks...Really sit back and look at the other problems the other bikes have,broken frames,trans,swingarms,blow stock junker shocks...on the Cannon all u have to really do it crank,and trans update...and whats that like $100. or so?? and youll have a very good bike that kicks buttt.
I think if you do find a good deal on one,get it...even tho Cannon is under i wouldnt change a thing..my ex was a 440 and all the other bs and this thing stock Kills it..
were i race,raceing is very small but theres a 1 guy with a crf450 in a 250r frame..i kill him out of the hole,not beat kill...the only place he gets me is on the strights..and yes i know rider does a lot..but this is just with my expcreance...iv beat plenty of shees,raps,z,..with pipes and what not...and to this day i still can belive its a stock bike...

Only a total fking nutjob would buy a Cannondale. The company is bankrupt! Look at the existing new stock at the dealers, what is the value doing? Dropping by the second. Just think what its doing for the used quads, they aren't worth squat. Parts are already hard to find and guess what, no new ones are being manufactured.

Just hold on to your money, save a bit more and buy the new Honda 450 when it comes out. Everybody knows Honda builds the best quads, these guys and everyone else is just getting impatient. I'd rather wait a year or two and then buy the best and then struggle to keep some problematic, fuel injected quad that no one owns, no one can service, and no one can get parts for running day to day. What's the point of racing one when the motorsports factory shut it's doors? I don't see the Cannondale bike dept sponsoring a guy any time soon.

Anyone remember Tiger three wheelers? How about Franks? Anyone, anyone....Bueller? Yeah, that is the fate of Cannondale.

 

Have you noticed that dale owners were saying not to invest in dales . I guess you though some swearing and insults were in order .

 

..qwerty...u must be a tard to think EFI on a quad is bad,and there are plenty of people that can service then,the motor on the Cannons arent as bad as people think.And if something does go wrong with the motor we have SBO to send out motors to.

Last time i looked you cant buy a 250r motor either,and 250r's still sell.And in your sig. "450R as soon as its released " whats its been now 3 years?? im not saying they wont come out with it but rember this is a hobby you dont count it $$.. Yes i do agree Honda does build some of the best bikes out,but at the time and still the Cannon waxs it stock for stock. Have you ever heard of a Cannon frame breaking?? Axle bending?? Swingarm breaking?? Iv never heard of a Cannon haveing theses problems,and I HAD an ex and all theses things happend to it,but yea you can put some money in the ex to help it compare to the Cannon,but then your back up to the price of a Cannon???..
I dont mean to bash....but the Cannon is the bike people have been crying for years for someone to build, im just sorry to see it come to an end.

Ummm btw. Cannondale is not bankrupt. Their quad division failed thats it. Their primary profit is in road and mountain bicycles. Cannondale lives on.

 

Name three places that can service the EFI outside of California in the midwest? Got news for you. NO ONE! Those Cannondale would run a whole lot longer if the had a carb since everyone now has to be their own mechanic.

 

The answer to this very hard and very mind wrecking question is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. They are not the best of them all and the rough suspensin can hurt the lower genitiles. You could get a banshee, raptor, or predator and supe it up and make it beter for way less then a Cannondale. I hope this was useful( wear a cup)

 

Should you get a cannondale?

NO. The quad division is gone. You will get no help when you tranny or engine explodes. You will get no help with NOTHING. They served their purpose - they woke up the other manufacturers to make more competitive machines and not "bold new graphics" every year. Those days are over. Salute cannondale and move on. Get a YFZ 450 or the Honda 450R coming out in September ( oh yes, its true.. its true).
