My friend just bought one of these. Kind of interested in how it will compare to my yfz. Sounds like his is pretty damn fast but i havent heard anything about a cannondale before.

In a drag race it's gonna be real close, I've heard stories going both ways. I don't care what Dirt Wheels says though, the Moto is far more race ready than a YFZ. It is right at 50" wide, has long travel 19" Ohlins up front, nerfs, beadlocks, wave rotors, etc. The Moto was actually designed to hit the MX track right off the showroom floor.

 

he took it out to the dunes today in oregon. He got to ride for about 5 minutes then a ranger came and checked his db and made him leave because its too loud. Anyone know any good fixes for this?

 

You could install the speed or cannibal exhaust system dirt cheap. But you will have to use those maps as well. Or just ride where you dont get caught. I picked up a brand new complete exhaust for a speed for $25 bucks off ebay.

jeezus, over here when a cop comes after us at pismo for going to close to plovers or some shizit we just beat it and never get caught...and with a cdale moto you should be able to "move!"

 

If you want an exhaust that you can switch from quiet/loud let me know - we use the Supertrapp style and you could cap it with disks then use the open endcap for general riding when not going to get caught. Takes like 2 mins to change between caps but a map for one wouldn't run very well with a map for the other. Might long enough to get tested though.

 

its too late now. Some douche bag hit my friends tocoma on the free way with the cdale moto in the back. His tocoma rolled 4 times so im sure you can all imagine what happened to the bike.

He didnt even make his first payment yet on the bike. And insurance wont cover it.

 

He probably has insurance on the bike if he got a loan for it. If its an unsecured loan and didnt insure it, he's in trouble.

 

The guy that is at fault. ( other guy) will have to cover the damage. Hopefully the other guy had insurance
