You have obviously never ridden a YFZ then...

Don't be pissed because you got left holding an orphaned machine... lol

you right i've never ridden a yfz and dont plan to.nothing about them impresses me the slightest.ive blown away several modded yammi's with ease.i was ridding last weekend with shane hitt and had to let off the throttle to avoid rearending him...lol..and he has a sparks motor.guys were cracking frames and and motors were dying and a few electrical failers.hitt seemed unimpressed with his machine as well.
im not pissed at all just trying to help a guy make the right decision.dont wanna see him get the shaft by buying a yammi.
my machine is not orphaned at all.i can make a phone call and have any part i need..any.and until that day comes i will keep the dale and continue to spank yammi and honda butt.
woot woot!!!!

You're quad is orphaned - its manufacturer is no longer existant. But you did make my point with that last sentence. That day will come, and the resale on any new Cannondale machine isn't near what it should be (for what you get) because of that.

I, too, am trying to help the guy out. I think that it would be a disservice to anyone to let them buy a Cannondale without first thoroughly looking at the situation with the machine, its parts supply, aftermarket potential, reliability, warranty (none), and maintainence requirements. It is just a risky venture for anyone not already owning a Cannondale. I'm glad that yours is working for you, but I think you may just be an exception as far as it goes.

Do yourself a huge favor, sn0wrider, and research this a lot more before you dish out serious $$$ for a machine in this situation. IMHO, I think buying a Cannondale at this point in time is a mistake (and this time last year I almost bought a Blaze).

..No im not retrated, maybe u should look at some of my past post on here and cannonriders.I'm not the one asking what i should get? When Cannon's have been out for years, same with all other bikes,Z's EX's DS650's..All problems are well know with all of them, and they all have there own sight to look this ?' up on.
And WISTECH is right, theres isnt a parts you cant get for the Canon, just like with all other ATV's. Ex's are slow stock, but a 440ex can run very well...what's been winning at the track for years? EX's...that little old out dated motor can run strong, and hang with all other bikes.
If you dont want to spend a lot,go to ebay..parts for days for Ex's..cheep too...big bores,shocks,swingarms..all cheep..just do things one at a time..you'll have a nice running bike..Id say 90% of Cannon owners had Ex's..so the Ex isnt a bad bike..
