Default My biggest beef with Cannondale

Like I said my concern was for this situation with outside contanminents in my particular quad. Sandgods motor and my engine have some serious miles on them and yet they both look like new inside. Understand that the better the efficiency of a filter the faster it will clog and I have no info on some of the newest mesh filters out there.
Back to the topic , whos got the best prices on paper filters?

Wistech your sig says tools too make tools.Do you have access to a lathe?Someone has got to make an adapter.I wont pay $10 bucks for a paper filter although I would like to run one just to save time and ensure a clean filter at oil changes.400ex filter is less than $3.

I agree that the price is rediculous and an adapter to another oil filter would be great.

As a matter of fact I do have a lathe . Since i started this topic I have been at the store trying to figure which other small engine filter would work. The yamaha filters seem to have a wierd extrusion on both ends of them so I have yet to fing one that is suitable but my local store has a crappy selection. I have built many quad parts from a arms ,swingarms ,footpegs, exhaust end cap disc systems, swingarm bearings, radiator guards, bushings to engine parts. Mostly because I am a cheap bastard and cant see coughing up the rediculous prices for some of this aftermarket stuff. Give me a good suggestion for a filter and Im sure I could build some end caps for all you guys.
I always cut apart all engine filters to check for debris .

PS I will do a post on just how cheap I am. Im sure you will get a kick out of it.
