blowback

My c-dale is coughing up fuel out of the throttle body. What could cause this? I haven't opened up my motor yet, I was just wondering what I might be looking at when I open her up. I have 25psi compression, it won't start but it will backfire on starting fluid. So what am I looking at, resetting the valves and maybe a headgasket? or could my rings be bad because oil is also coming out of the overflow. (I didn't overfill it). Anybody know?

..Most the time when an engine front fires, its something to do with valve timeing,or your flywheel may have spun on it self?Take the black cover off the right side and look closely for cracks..Also go to cannondaler.com and cannondaleriders.com. May have better luck there.

I'm going to drip some oil in the cylinder and check the rings before I pull the motor. Hopefully their still good. You say that the older cannondales had valve seat problems. Which years? My cannibal is actually an '02 Fx400 with cannibal plastics. It was one of the quads that came out before cannondale finished testing the sagem 1000 fuel system and got all the cheap parts.
