sending motor to atk.
#1
i bought a atk 450en dirt bike last week and rode it for 15 min then it quit. to it back to were i got it and they said it has a broken valve and bent rod. they called atk and said send the motor back to them. how much time am i looking at before i should see it again? this is my first atk/c-dale so i have know idea how this company works. i have been in contact with Frank White (pres of atk) and he seems like a good guy. i hate the fact of having a new bike for 15 min and breaking.

I bought an ATK and had a problem with the motor also, make sure you or your dealer talk to Cord and get him on the ball about it and you should have it back in no time.

I know it might be to late but as long as they have the motor out nows a good time to have ATK update your crank with the z400 bearing. Im not sure if they are doing it on the production machines but I hear they will install it on engines that are sent to them. It should only cost about $125 extra but sure beats worrying about how long the stock bearings are going to last.
