i bought a 2002 cannondale that will start and idle for a couple of seconds, but not run on its own.it will cut off as soon as u hit the throttle.i can feed it gas manually by spraying gas into the intake with a spray bottle.i checked fuel pressure it had about 55psi the bike has brand new injectors still having the same problems.



please help

 

First thing is check the fuel filter. You might find it very dirty and it won't allow the fuel to flow.

i have tested the argulater,i checked the fuel filter, i bypased the fuel filter and i checked the pump.it just seems that after it starts it cuts off a sec later cause it seems like its not getting enough fuel

 

Do you hear or see the fuel returning to the tank?

Is the returning fuel a steady steam?

Have you pulled the injectors to make sure they aren't clogged?

yes and yes its a steady stream and i bought new injectors so they arent clogged.is there anymore things i should do.and thanks for helping out ur the only one that replyed back so keep in touch

 

Do you have a D&M kit or know someone that does? It could be a setting of the ECU. I would also look at the coil, because of the location you might have a cracked one due to age and heat. This would give you a weak spark and may not allow it to run.

If you log onto Cannondale rider dot com or Cannondale central dot com there are much more knowledgable people there who should be able to take care of you. Heck they may even live close and will stop by or allow you to bring it to them.

we checked all of the wires and the plugs,we fond a wire that was broken that went to the throttle body we fixed that and when we put the bike back togather we started,the bike ran and idled alot longer but still when we hit the throttle it still wants to cut off but the bike will stay running
