cannondale mods
#1
I am thinking about getting a cannibal. I was wondering what the potential is for mods. I am also considering a DS Baja and they have kits out that can take that up to a 760. Those things are putting out some power.
I guess I want to know can the cannondale engine be built up and bigger or is the 432cc the max. Is there any way to make more power on these. I know you can pipe it. Is there more you can do?
I usually don't leave things stock and I am a power monger.
Any input appreciated

I have been to the rsperformance site and the only real performance upgrade is the pipe. Are there any more performance upgrades. I would like to see a way of getting these quads up to about 50 rwhp. If that is impossible please let me know.
I had read somewhere that these engines were about as big as they could get. Is that true?
I may just have to wait for the americans to come out with something a little bigger like a 650. Anyone know if they have plans for something like that?
Thanks

To my knowledge no one is doing any big bore kits or anything YET. RS Performance said that they were going to be playing with porting ect. awhile back but I havnt talked to them in a couple months. Call them up and if anyone can tell you they can. I know Mickey D said he wasnt going to be doing anything for the Cannondales. Bat, if you havent rode one yet you need to. The EFI makes a big differance in throttle response. After a quick ride through the gears you will see the main reason why everyone isnt trying to be the first company to offer mods. A pipe is probably all I will ever need, well I mean want. Cannondale did a project quad awhile back and made it something like 454cc? I cant remember if thats right or not, but anyway they added a wheelie bar to it and took it to a drag race. They reported that it beat everything in the 700cc? class. I may be off on that also as I cant remember. Go to their site and the story should still be on there. I think Cannondale may build something smaller than 432cc rather than bigger, but who knows.

SparkyEX, I havn't had a chance to realy try them out yet. Ive only got about two min. on them so far. I let my friend race with them a couple weekends ago, and he seemed to realy like them. He usualy runs turf tamers. Any tire in a 18" is better for racing MX than those 20" that come on the C-Dales. Ive never ran 20" tires before and was just about to get used to them, man that was not good. hee. hee. Anyway as for the rims they seem to be realy good. Like I said though my bud has done most of the testing so far. I think I would buy them again because in the race he used my tires and wheels in he broke his frame. The Douglas conventional beadlocks didnt get not one ding. I wanted the Carbon Fiber rims or the black ITP beadlocks but, well the $$$ is what stoped me. Im waiting for the MAXXIS MX fronts that are going to be available in the spring and will get beadlocks with them. By the way Rocky Mountian ATV was the only place that had the Razr MX rears.
