Cure for Cannibal twitchyness?
#1
I found the reason cannondales are twitchy in the front end. The reason for it is the severe stock dish in the stock front rims. A buddy of mine has a cannibal and we ordered different rims to seee what happened. It cured the prob. Now the only problem is its to narrow in the front so its going to need longer a arms. Could have went with a stearing stabilizer but he and i both dont care for them. They tend to make them steer harder and the steering dont return to zero on its own you have to steer it back. Any way a set of longer a arms now and he'll be a happy camper.

We adjusted everything and it still had it. Switching the front rims realy helped out. I thought it would be worth a try because i bought a set of wider dish rims for my Raptor to widen it out and after doing so it also was twitchy. Now we're on the look out for a set of +2 a arms for a cannibal to get the width back. Oh and incase your wondering the front end was gone thru by the dealer for the recall and that helped slightly also.

Is this quad an FX or a Cannibal? The new Cannibals (the ones with GP control fuel injection) have the holes where the Tie rods are mounted to the steering column moved forward. This is a huge improvement as there is less wheel induced input into the handlebars. It might be cheaper to get a steering column than A-arms. Just a suggestion. The steering dampers that are going to be on the moto and Blaze only damp outward they do not affect self centering so you may want to order one of those when they are out. Also be careful with that rim offset because rocks get jammed between the caliper rim causing a momentary loss in braking, or even complete lock up.
