YoDaddy,

The valve adjustment is actually recommended for every 25 hours of ride time. Of course this is a recommendation by Cannondale to maintain peak performance. I have seen four stroke motors by other brands go much longer than 25 hours without a valve adjustment, but the Cannondale motor is race inspired and almost every high performace race engine does require more maintenace than some motors of less peformance.

I am not sure about your dealer. Especially since he told you he had to put a Cannibal together.

I have a close friend that is a Cannondale dealer and I personally helped him take his first Cannibal out of the crate. It was fully assembled other than not having the battery installed in it. It even had break in oil in it out of the box.

Really? Most every quad I have seen still in the crate was mostly assembled except for tires, handle bars, axle, and a-arms. But those were Polaris and Yamahas. He might have ment just unloading it. He told me that he would try to keep it there till tomorrow (which is when I am going over there) and even if someone buys it, I will just test drive it and if I like it the next one they get in will be mine! Man I am really excited How many hours should I spend breakin in the engine? Is it really neccesary to drop the engine every 25 HRS! I would have to do it every week!!!!

OK, who here who actually owns a cannondale adjusts the valves every 25 hours, is it difficult? I was also wondering what some of you who are financing the C-Dale are paying each month?

When I was at Cannondale's motorsports factory in the middle of this year the guy that was giving me the tour said that they are shipped all ready except the battery needs filled (with acid) and it needs gas. So there is not much prep work for the dealer before it is ready for the customer to take it home.

Well, I just bought my cannibal today. I should be able to pick it up Tues or Wed. Man that thing has power. It felt like a 2-stroke that didn't spin its tires everywhere. It has a distinct sound to it that was kinda weird at first but then it sounded pretty cool. I also found out that you don't pump the throttle ANY while starting. I flooded the engine by accident and it wouldn't start until we let it sit for about 5 min. I almost said try adjusting the choke but remembered that it has no choke. that was almost embarrassing. I can't wait till we get all the paper work signed and done so I can go pick it up. I'm payin about $200 a month.

Congrats YoDaddy, hope you enjoy it!!! Was $200 the minimum payment, or did you just decide to pay that much?

Well my dad kinda figured all of that out and asked me if I was ok with it. I financed it through the bank since the intrest rates are lower. Ltracerx, if you are concidering a new quad, than I can tell you just from my test ride that this would be an awesome quad for you. The power was flat out amazing. I don't think the DS really even compares. I haven't ridden a Raptor, but I know that the C-dale has throttle responce unlike anything I have ever ridden. Man I am excited as hell. I don't think I am gonna sleep at all tonight. Later

YoDaddy, glad to here the good news about the Cannibal, nice isnt it? Did lonstarbanshee go with you and get to ride it? The EFI makes a huge difference over anything carb fed that I've ever been on also. Well just wanted to tell you, that you did the right thing, but I guess you knew that after the first 5min. or so on it huh? hee! hee!

YoDaddy, I have been waiting a year and a half for a new quad. Now I think I might have a job, so if I get it, I am heading to St. Helens to go get a Cannibal or Speed, depending on if the Cannibal is an early one with the Ohlins. Give us a full evaluation when you get it.
