Check the small wires that go on the coil, they have had a small problum with that connection.

Same thing happened to me after I took it to the dealer for service. When I got it home it would not start. Changed the plug and it fired up!!!

Someone needs to tell Mr. Montgomery to re-design the engine! It took 3 of us an hour to change the spark plug! Once we got it in, she fired right up and idled away. This bike impresses me more each time I ride it. Check the signature for pics.

You can do it in 20 minutes Jim? Take the seat, front, and rear plastic off, the cross bars that hold the gas tank in, the gas tank, the shock mount brace, the bracket that holds the spark plug cap in place, and then get the spark plug out in 20 minutes? You're a faster man that I. I do have some good action shots though. Check out the signature.

There no shock brace to remove on the FX that in the way. It must come apart differant. The 01-FX gas tank is bigger, 4gal vs 3.2 and it is lighter. 01-FX 350, 01-cannibal 370, 02-cannibal 375, 02-speed 370. I guss something to think about.

i was cheching them out...possibly a future purchase...and the dealer had 3 of them in the showroom. he was gonna start on eup for me and he fouled all three plugs in a matter of minuets...the mechanic was pretty mad!!! he showed us all you have to go through to change it!! Pain in the butt!! but so far, it's one of teh only flaws i've seen.

i am very impressed with it...now i just need to come up with 7 grand!!! and it will hopefully be my next purchase

good luck changing your plug!!!

P.S.

the mechanic said to let it warm up for like 5-10 min before riding cause the piston will eventually seize..NOT GOOD!!

I was never told about that. Then again the dealership guy didn't tell me crap! In the manual it says to let it idle for about 20 sec. But nothing about 5-10 min. It was the spark plug. Is that the only plug you can use in the dale? CRAP! That S.O.B. costed me $9.62!!!!! It sure did feel good riding it again though and just sitting on it made me forget about the price. My oh my that is an awesome quad! I would highly recommend one. I just can't wait to take it out on the track. If you wanna see some action shots and lonestarbanshee holdin on for dear life, (you'll know what I mean when you see the pic of him jumpin it, lol.) go to photos.yahoo.com/lonestarbanshee and check out the one entitled Douwe's Cannibal pics (Thats me) Oh and lonestarbanshee, I'm not makin fun of you , seriously, I'm NOT! hehehe... LATER!

I guess I'm one of the lucky C-Dale owners, I havent fouled the plug yet. I bought one when I picked up my quad just in case and it's still in the glove box of my truck I think. Like YoDaddy said it's $ but I think it's the only one that will work. Haven't heard of the piston seizing problem. I always let mine warm up at least about 2 min. seems to let you get going without any fuss. Any way glad you got your quad going again YoDaddy.

I checked out the pics. cool... Hey lonestar the rear shock is Awesome isnt it. Ive landed that way (as well as the other end down first) and the rear just soaks it up. Landing front first isnt as forgiving!
