Rev limit on Cannibal???
#1
I am sue this has been asked a million different times but I thought the Cannibal rev limiter kicked in at 10,600. I was looking at the specs on Cannondales site and they say 11,600. Also, it says the clutch is "cable actuated." I thought that the Cannibals were supposed to have Hydraulic clutches, or at least the new ones. Cannibal info.

Yeah, I guess it is, but it is the smoothest clutch I've ever felt. As for the rev. limit, honestly, I'm not sure . I've heard that the early ones have 11,600 and that the newer ones have 10,600 and I've heard that they all have 10,600. I'm not sure.

Guys,
The FX and Cannibal have a rev limit of 10,600 rpm. The Speed, Blaze, and Moto have a rev limit of 11,600 rpm. The Cannibal currently comes with aluminum ITP rims and Ohlins shocks. The Arvin equipped machine will be shipping in a couple of weeks. The Cannibal will not switch to steel rims. All the machines currently shipping come with Hydraulic clutches.

The Moto has a 12600 limit and the blaze and speed have 11600, and the cannibals 10600. This is according to ATV Sport magazine Buyers guide.
I agree the Cannondale web site is pretty vague on the differences between the quads and we get so much contradicting info, especially from uneducated salespeople.

I'm positive 4strokemadman is correct. Juice the mags get things all mixed up. In the buyers guide of the Feb. issue of ATV ACTION they list the Moto and all of the C-Dales having 9.8" of front suspension travel and 8.5" in the rear, as well as the lenght/width/height all being 73.5"/46.4"/45.0"!. FX & All Cannibals=10,600. All the others=11,600 rev limit. Accualy my FX manual says 10,500 but i'm going to agree with the 10,600.
