Well, it was muddy as hell, the track had just been rebuilt, and it was my first time to ride the Dale on a track. It wouldn't have been so bad except for that black dirt holds water like crazy. It will turn your mx tires into racing slicks. There were a few piped Raptors out there and I rode faster than them, but they weren't riding hard and neither was I. I wanted to get used to the dale before I rode it hard. I'm going to be racing next weekend but I probably won't ride hard. I'm not "Pro MX racer" so I will just get better as I go along. No need to rush anything. As long as I don't try to go crazy, I'll stay healthier longer and have more time to get better. I'll let yall know how it goes. Oh, and Johnny Hale jumped over me too! Thats always cool to say that you have ridden on the track with a pro quad racer and then have him jump over you

Yeah man, Brian, it was pretty cool. I could hear him behind me. Kinda sucks though. After practice, I left and if I would have stayed a little longer, I could have ridden some more, along with Johnny, Jake on CR 125 and 2 other guys. Oh well, I was pretty worn out at the end of practice, and I'm just looking forward to the race on Sunday.

I used a strip of bailing belt as a chain slide. It's working OK but I think in about 9 to 10 hours of riding, it will be worn through... but my stock chain slide didn't even last that long . Kinda sad huh?

Brian, does it look like you'll get to come to LS? A few people have dropped out of the group, but we'll still have 4 or 5. I didn't make it to practice, but when everyone got home, they were saying "Man, there was a guy there on a red 250R.. number 8... He was FAST! Almost as fast as Johnny Hale.. but not quite". Hehe, Good ole number 8 WAS Johnny Hale. Kinda humorous

briansgi, do you think you could get Johnny to send me some JH Racing stickers? I see him often, but I doubt he'll be down for any of the TQRA events soon. Thanks!

I doubt if I make it to LS, I'm oncall every other week which requires me to stay within 2 hours of Tulsa in case one of the computers I supports goes down, so that kind of sucks.

Send me your address via my email and I'll send you some of his stickers, I'm sure he would love the free advertising.
My email is brianowasso@***.net

Hey what track are yall riding at? I wanna race my Ds and I live about 2 hours away from you. Is the track for quads, dirtbikes? Do I have to have nerfs, kill switch, and number to practice?

Hey lonestarbanshee, Johnny said he was heading back down your way this coming weekend to race on Sunday and he would bring a bunch of his JH Racing stickers for you guys. He said he finished 7th in Houston this last weekend, he was pretty happy with the finish considering it was another TT race and he races an MX quad!!

Hurycne, you need nerfs, a kill switch, and boots, and ofcourse a helmet. If you don't have nerfs, just put the plastic foot gaurd things on. I saw some raptors, banshee's, and blasters with just those plastice things. They have quad classes but parts of the track are a little difficult for the quads. Lots of air but a lot of the jumps are close together making it a little technical in some places. LOTS of fun though, go to their website at www.badlandsmx.com and you can find directions there. There is a race this Sunday and like Brian said, Johnny Hale will be out there so you should go out there and race. If you don't feel like racing this weekend, then there is also a practice next Sunday on the 17th.
