Nervous

Man i am getting nervous, im supposed to pick up my Cannibal in 10 days or so, and IM getting nervous, you guys have loose bolts, swingarm problems, stalling problems, starting problems, aluminumvs. metal clutch, etc. It makes me nervous. I am spending 6599 for a quad I want it to NOT fall apart on me, and how do I know if I have an alluminum flywheel? The Cannibal has the Ohlins, so it is an early one, im thinking I should wait and get one of the "new" ones with the new clutch, flywheel, gp1000, etc. DO you think the fixes are worth more than the shocks? and aluminum wheels, how big a deal are those shocks, or am i just freaking out and wasting post space? HELP!!

im getting ready to dump down $4000.00 on a quad and finance the rest...i would also like to know if i should buy the newer cannable over the ohlins model? i think for the bolts problem loctite, but why didnt cannondale use locktite when they built these?

Wait for a newer machine, then make the dealer swap the shocks off the older one. Really that is a tough call. All these sports get ridden so hard, they are all going to break something. I have a modded raptor. I am waiting for 2 gear to go. Looks like the cannon is going to be more tempermental in the long run. All quads have problems. If i wanted a cannon, i would not be over concerned. Ride it fix it ride it, don't sweat it. Why is the cannon your 1st choice?

The only bolt I lost was on the plastics and that was because I didn't tighten it good. The stalling is just my riding error. And I have NEVER had ANY kind of swingarm problem. The only complaint I really have is the chain slide. Be sure to check it out OFTEN. It's pretty awesome getting about 2nd or 3rd in the holeshot against piped Banshee's, and highly modded R's and 400ex's, in your second race ever ,on a completely stock quad that you have only ridden on the track once before.

14mins,
The cannondale is my first choice because if I go spend 5500 on a 400ex, it will be no time before I sink another 1000-1500 in aftermarket mods in it, so why not buy it all from the factory and have a warantee, secondly its MADE IN THE USA!!!

my first choice because.
[1] handles like a honda im told
[2] power of raptors and banshees
[3] made in USA--something we should all start buying if we still want to have jobs someday
[4] they have treated there customers right no complaints

Doesn't the Cannibal you are getting ready to buy already have the new GP E1000 computer? If it doesn't I would not buy it, wait and get a newer one with the new GP injection system. What is the serial number of the quad you are buying? I don't believe the clutch is that big of a deal, I've tried the new Speed hydraulic clutch and it was no easier to engage than mine. I do like the fact that the Cannibal's now have the "new" swingarm but I never had a problem with mine. The chain slide is a definitely a problem but supposedly any day now Cannondale is suppose to offer one that is made of alot stronger material.
You have to understand you are going to see some initial problems with these C'dale quads, heck, this is only the 2nd year of production. But what I have seen, this is my second c'dale, c'dale is quick to resolve their problems. They have bent over backwards for me to make sure I was happy with my quad, I know the other guys would not be doing as much as C'dale has.
