day at the track
#1
Well Sunday I went to the track with four other guys and we rode for the better part of the day. First time I really put some long seat time in on the dale. it was fantastic. I kept finding myself forgetting what gear I was in, but it really didint matter, I could always pull through. Except for the whoops, you need to be in second or it will bog down. I let tons of people ride it. We were with a modified 250R with about 15K into it, a 400ex with a pipe and a banshee modifiedto the tilt, and a couple of dirt bikes. Theguys thought it had tons of ***** and handled great. They thought it pushed in the turns a little, bit I think it felt awesone. I did foul a plug right when I got there and it IS a pain to change the plug, but it did onlytake 20 minutes and we were off. Only complaint is the plug changing proceedure, but if that is as bad as it gets im fine!

Front plastic, rear plastic, gas tank, and crossmember bars.
But you have to realize, the gas tank is equiped with a quick disconnect fuel line system, and the plastic is easy to remove, it was my first time changing a plug on it so I didnt have all the sizes of screws and stuff memorized, I bet I could do it in 15 minutes now after the first time.
it sucked, but the rest of the day I could hang with anyone on the track, and I am not a great rider, due to the fact that I have only had this thing for three weeks.
so not a deal breaker in my mind.

I went to a track yesterday too. A lot of the jumps that I couldn't do wide open on my 300ex I was almost over jumping on my Dale. I felt like I was riding decently but like I have said many times in this forum, I had trouble in the corners with the "grabby" rear holeshots. I still had a lot of fun. Those Dales jump good don't they?

yodaddy, I think the tires are grabby too, but they are what everyone rides, so they must be the best, dont you think? Top speed is near 75mph stock.

Do I think they are the best???? Nope, I'm buyin me some 18 inch turf tamers. Awesome forward traction, great sliding capabilities, and you can custom groove them for sandy tracks or leave them stock for the hard pack tracks. Turf Tamers are the BEST tires in my opinion.
