Cannibal Wheelie Ability
#1
Well guys I'm thinking of picking a Cannibal up but need to know if they suffer from the same problem as my Banshee and Raptor had which is when at the Balance point the carb floods out and the bike starts to sputter when at the lower RPM range. The 400ex doesnt have this problem and I'm hoping since the Cannondale if Fuel Injected it shouldnt have this problem either. Can anyone confirm this??? An easy test is to pick the front end of the bike up so that its at the balance point then start the bike and let it run. If it doesnt die then I'm assuming it's all right. Anyone PLEASE help me on this.

Are you saying that since it has Higher compression it therefore has more engine braking? If so that make sense. Can you pick the fron end up to the Balance point and let me know if it runs!! I'd owe you one!!

You won't have any problems with engine stalling due to fuel starvation with the C'dales because it is fuel injection. As far as the engine braking of the C'dales, it's not near as noticeable as the Raptor is. I can't do wheelies worth a flip but my son does them all the time and has had no problems with the quad stalling.

Not to say anyones wrong but when I say the Raptor and Banshee stall out in Wheelies I get people telling me that there bike does wheelies fine and doesnt die out. Let me clearify what I define as a wheelie. My Definition of a wheelie is riding at the balance point for hundreds of yards, not 50 feet! On a 400ex I can shift 3 gears up then 3 gears down in a wheelie and this was on my first ride on a 400ex for which I drove for 10 minutes. I like wheelies and was disgusted with the Banshee and Raptor when the just cut out at the Balance point after 10 or so seconds.

I see 400EX's all the time riding wheelies for hundreds of feet at Little Sahara, they clearly are the best quad to ride wheelies with from what I've seen. Some people are probably going to respond to this and say why would you buy a quad to ride wheelies with? Whatever floats your boat is what I say!

Your Right Wheelies Float my Boat I have put together professional quality videos of Quad, Dirt bike, Street bike ETC trick style videos and one of my hobbies is wheeling. So the next quad I buy must be wheelie worthy!

The whole thing is I can buy a new 2002 400ex for $5300 then I need to add $500 worth of accessories when for the same price I can pick up a 2002 cannibal Demo with Pipe, Nerfs, Bars, and a few other goodies. Of course it a 8 hour drive from me but I think it will be worth it.

WOW, a 2002 demo Cannibal with all the stuff you mentioned for $5300!!
Why aren't you heading there now!! Don't let anyone else know where this dealer is before you buy!! Seriously, that's a great price, plus the demo will have a full warranty. Does it have the Ohlin shocks and EC1000 computer?
