Fuel Map Question
#1
Well I'm taking the 6 hour ride to pick up my Cannibal Friday. The unit has an HMF pipe and the dealer said he would thow any map in I wanted in free of charge. From looking at previous posts on this board it seems the Blaze map would be the best. Any recommendations?
Thanks Chris

I've talked to the Guys at the Tech center and they all said the Blaze for all around riding the Moto map has a harder hit at the bottom for Motocross. When I get the HMF I will be using the Blaze.
Let us know, I would also ask the dealer if you can try them out. It only takes 15 minutes to put one in and at $60 shop rates your into it for $30 bucks and happy and Than you can tell us.

A few Questions
Should all 2002 Cannibals have the 1000 ECU???
When you reprogram the Stock Cannibal ECU with the Blaze Speed or Moto Maps does this raise the RMP limiter 1000 rpm?
How much would it cost be to switch to Grey Plastic and who sells it??

2 great questions. As far as the EC1000 computer for all the 2002 Cannibals, I don't think that is 100% true. Some of the early Cannibals I believe had the 500 computer. On the 1K increase in rpm if you remap to the blaze or moto, I think it "normally" does but apparently it can be set to whatever rpm you want. I talked to Carey at R&S and he said they were increasing the rpm's on the Cannibals to the same rev limit as the moto's when they download a moto map but they are seeing some problems so now they are recommending a rev limit of no more than 11K. He mentioned that the C'dales coming out of the factory now have some tighter engine specs/tolerances than earlier production engines or something to that affect.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what do you mean by that?
Also, how much is it costing you total (tax, shipping, labor) to get the HMF exhaust and motto remapping?
Thanks

It sounded like from Carey at R&S that the new quads shipping now have closer engine tolerances. Call him and get more info. The silencer and the remap was $229.00. I got tired of waiting on my dealer to get up to speed with using their computer and software. They said they would do mine for whatever their labor rates were but they've never done one before so it could have easily cost me an hour's time while they "learned how" on my quad. I didn't want to wait any longer so I shipped it to R&S.

The Dealer said I could try out all the maps and pick the one I like the best. He said they like the moto map he said the bike feels like its on nitrous with the moto map. I guess if the Moto map gives you alot better low and midrange then it may be the Ideal map for me as I will not be racing the quad and who wants to rev the crap out of engine when you don't have to.

Hey biggerisbetter, are you getting to LS early enough to find a campsite? I can't get there until Saturday morning and I know all the campsites will be long gone. I'm trying to find someone I can share a spot with. They won't allow any parking on the highway next to the south campground either.
