A C-dale dealer told me the new Fuel Injections are a headache. True?

I was in a C-dale dealer and the guy at the parts/service counter (I was buying Klotz for quads) told me the fuel injection systems have had aa lot of problems and are "comin' back every other week for remapping". Myabe he was exagerating a bit but is it true those new systems have been going out of wack and in need of reservicing? I was thinking of getting a speed this summer but outside of magazines (which seem to love them), I've heard 2 negative comments by the only 2 people I've asked that have actually had real contact with them. What's up with this??? It's OK be honest. Are they worth the hype?

Not true, whatever the dealer told you if a load of bull, probaly just trying to steer you away from buying a cannondale. When you remap the quad once you shouldnt have to come back to get it "remaped" unless you want a new map put on it. Ive had mine for a while and havent had one problem yet.

Well if you've been following the C'dale forum for any length of time at all, you would know that no one has been complaining about this problem. There were some issues with last years models which had a different fuel injection system (cannondale's own) and a different computer but the 2002 models have a different fuel injection system and upgraded computer. I have not had any problems at all with my Cannibal.

No problems here...
The thing that bothers me is having to fine tune your carb. (like on my 300ex) just to get it running smoothly. Once the comp. on the dales is remapped, it's gonna run good. None of those little backfires and stutters that you have to spend a long time working out of the quad. And temp and altitude changes doesn't affect the Dales performance either.

There are NO PROBLEMS with the fuel injection systems or computers on any of the current Cannondales. Bikes or quads.
If you have a dealer who is having to "re-map" more than once on the same machine, he didn't do it right the first time. Your dealer must be one of the small time guys who have only sold one or two units, and he has no idea of what he's doing when it comes to the re-mapping.......That.....or he is just now beginning to do the re-mapping and is in the learning stages.
We had this problem when we first started out because it is different from anything else out there. We actually fried the computer on our first re-mapping. Now, it's a 20 minute process that we can do blind folded.
