I have taken off the top half of the airbox, and the screws in the front corner of the airbox. What other part is there to take off?

 

What do you want to take the airbox off for anyway. I'm not sure how you get that thing off without breaking the silicone seals, or removing the handlebars/steering stem.

 

Im gonna replace my twist with the thumb thorttle and try it. Its harder than it sounds and looks.

Did you loosen the clamp around the boot where the air box attaches to the throttle body. If not do so and it should come rite off then remove the engine oil over flow hose and unplug; I think it's the air temp. sensor wire. Good Luck.

ya it was preety hard to find and then to get a screwdriver on there was horrible but I got it. Never doing that again for sure.

 

Know about that pretty hard. I replaced my throttle cable (kinked in a crash) without removing the airbox, but not before i removed that boot. i won't be doing that again either. glad you got it done Mxracer98.
