YoDaddy,

You brought up an interesting point with CornDog's signature.

Why is it that most sigs get deleted when mentioning other links to web-sites, BUT it's OK to say that you would like to pi$$ all over a manufacturer???

It seems that Gary is the only moderator who actually does his "duty".
He can't be everywhere at once. I understand that. There need to be more moderators and one speciffic to each forum.

That's just my thoughts on the matter.

KNOWSALOT - I still haven't found the problem. It's not a ground wire because I unbolted all the same bolts that I have before except for the shocks but there aren't any ground wires on those bolts, and as far as I can see, the hose that reads barometric pressure looks to be just fine. The o-rings on my fuel lines look ok... are there o-rings in the part that the lines snap into?

When I push the "button" on the clamp thing on the front fuel line, that little slide kind of sticks but I can push it back... maybe that has something to do with it? (That last sentence was kind of confusing.)

I called Cannondale yesterday and the lady told me to call back on Monday because the Tech guys weren't there. So maybe I'll find out what it is on Monday. Thanks for your help man, I really appreciate it.

i can say whatever i want about cannondale. you guys may not listen to me, but the people i see when i ride do. i am going to keep talking all the people that ask me about my cannondale out of one. with the pics of my cracked frame in hand, i will make sure all the people at my riding spot(a very big one with many people) know all of the problems that come with a cannondale until i get a mc1000. it would save them money to just send the mc1000.

oh yeah, and pi$$ isn't really a word.

I don't get it Corndog, either you like the Cannondale or you don't. You said you're going to talk bad about Cannondale until they send you the 1000 computer and when they do you'll stop? How is the leaking gas cap and anti-freeze spewing going to stop with a new MC1000 computer? More than likely they won't send you a new computer free of charge, especially with Scott Montgomery visiting this board and seeing how you want to pi$$ all over his quads. You catch more flys with honey than vinegar.

Basically what you're saying is that you'll ignore the other problems with your quad if you get a new computer? It's my understading that the only difference in performance between the 500 and 1000 is the ability to raise the rev limit. You don't have any performance mods where it would matter anyway.

the rev limiter is crazy. in 4th and 5th i bounce of it so much. most of the other cdale owners can get this fixed for free, but it is going to cost me OVER $1000 TO GET IT FIXED! think about that, $1000 that most other people don't have to pay. that is a lot of money! when you pay this much $$$$ for a quad you expect a little extra. i am not even that good of a rider and the rev limiter is just crazy, i am hitting it all the time. extremely frustrating! i am not happy with the problems, but i will fix them. i don't like the fact they sold an fx400 that said cannibal on it. in many magazines they say how the cannibals come with the new ec1000, but they failed to mention that some got the ec500(which may get me a mc1000). i remember we used to always ask cannondale which vin # quads got what and they would never answer. it just really pisses me off, i think you would understand.

CornDog,

I have been checking into your posts about things. You need to remember that Cannondale and it's dealer network is still very small and it's not hard to find out anything about anyone who owns one whether they bought used or new.

You have been lieing about more than what you admit to. Especially here of late.

You are not a racer by any means and you claiming to hit the rev limiter all the time is a pure exageration on your part.

Back to the subject.

Buy either the speed or the Cannibal, you can't go wrong. The speed will take less money to upgrade. So it all at once, or a little over time.

With most of the quads on the market today the rev limiter is well below that of any Cannondale. DS stock 6,500RPM??, Raptor 7,500RPM?? Cannondale 500ECM 10,600 1000ECM can be remapped witht the 11,600 Limit. I don't see this as limiting factor of buying one.

There is no differance in adding or changing a map between the two computers. You could also swap a Bike for a Quad ECU and have the limit raise. Still not a factor in buying a Cannondale.

You can talk to Cannondale's tech service during business hours and they do call back if you leave a message. I have done this several times. No other manufacturer will do that, unless your the dealer.
That's a big one for buying.

Hope that helps

Smitty

Can you special order a speed or something ???????

I am not too found of the silver on the cannondale and was curious to see if you could order one in red ??????? I would not care if it said cannibal instead of speed. I know probably this is a lot to ask but I was curious. Can you ask your dealer to remap when it's brand new ????????

Another option might be to have your dealer upgrade some components on the cannibal, Before I bought my speed I was going to get a new cannibal with the Blaze shocks instead of the arvins for an extra $400, but unlike you I LOVE the silver color scheme and had to have the speed

-Josh

You might be able to get all the speed upgrades on the cannibal for around the same price!
