I wouldn't get the Z400 if I were you corndog. You never know something else might break on it. For example you might get a flat tire or the brakes might wear out. God forbid you ever do a little bit of maintance on your bike.

Here's a quick lesson in life. Hi-Performance = Hi-Maintance
Low-Performance = Low maintance
If you're not willing to take care of your quad then you might want to just stick to riding the AC. If you took the time to do something right the first time instead of saying screw it and ride it anyway it'd take half the time to do it correctly then it would to B!tch and then fix it AND you'd be a lot happier and so would everybody else here. This way we wouldn't have to listen to you rip on a quad that is by far the best production quad available right now.

In every buisness there are good customers and bad customers. The good customers are understanding and accept it when you do the best you can. Then there's the customers that you can do without. You'd rather ring their neck then do buisness with them. But you have to maintain your composure and be professional because one person can ruin you if they tried hard enough. Now with that said just pretend you were on the dealers side of the fence and you had someone like yourself. You did everything you could for them but your best isn't good enough and they go out badmouthing you. What would you do? Help them or just let them go? Personally I would just let them go. You're better off having them take their buisness elsewhere.

I would have to agree w/ whoever told you to get a 400ex. Either that or a TRX 90.

I will say that my tail light broke off too, but I had it bolted over a # plate so the wind hitting that plate, along w/ A LOT of jumping, puts a lot of stress on that light, so I just took it off and don't worry about it. It is, on the other hand, easily fixed w/ a couple of bolts, a drill, and some common sence (so you might want to find somebody to help you there).

Corndog, will you answer us one question? WHY do you ride that quad when antifreeze leaks all over you???????????????????????????????????? I mean, obviously it's not normal. Do you think that filling it up and riding it again is gonna make the quad fix itself????? Thats just plain retarted. Thats like if you were gonna drive a car and... nevermind, you're not old enough to drive yet. Thats like if you were riding your bicycle down the road and every 10 feet, your chain flies off. Would you keep on putting that same chain on or would you be smart and buy a new one?... Well, looking at all your posts, I can tell you would just keep putting the same old chain back on and then go to "bicycleconnection.com" and tell everyone how bad you Walmart bike sucks....

Since we all have helped you as much as we can stand to, and you continue to be an idiot... why don't you either sell the Dale or keep riding it and not maintaining it, and don't come to us to tell us whats wrong... MOST OF US DON'T CARE!!!

CornHolio FIX THE PROBLEM then go riding!!!! Whats so hard about that?? Has sniffing so much anti-freeze affected your mind? The problem will just get worse if its not fixed!! Weld the crack in your frame and take it to shop to get new bolts put in and ask them about the damn anti-freeze going everywhere! If not,sell the bike to me I'll gladly take it off of your hands. I'll send you all the shipping costs and everything give ya 2500 for it?

I hear you about the stereo, tools, garage...sounds like some good times. I throw my 8 year old son into the mix and he is learning to maintain his Scrambler 90...I will not raise a Sleeping Corndog/catfish.
This whole thing comes down to preventitive maintenance, nothing more. After a race or weekend of riding, my plastic comes off, I check all the bolts, engine oil/filter, air cleaner, etc. You "real" atv enthusiasts know what I am saying. Hell, my Speed didn't have it's plastic back on until Saturday morning right before I had to head to the track. Every night of the week I spent a little time just running through all the quad and guess what...no problems or time lost on riding day...amazing.
I can't believe we still find ourselves answering Cornholio's posts....you know he won't go away until we stop..........JIM

when i bought this thing everyone told me the maintenance was not that bad. you say you spend hours doing maintenance, well that is what you have to do on this bike. i remember all the f*gs were telling me how easy the maintenance is. this is an extremely high maintenance bike. the most i am willing to give is maybe 2 1/2 hours counting maintenance before and after each ride. the problem is something new is always broken, and these parts add up to a lot of $$$$.

The maintanance is easy. Ok, so you have to take the front plastic off to get to the air filter... big deal... it's only 4 little bolts and besides, you have to take the rear plastics and the air box cover off of other quads. So you have 3 drain bolts for the oil instead of one... OMG!!!... thats takes a whole extra 5 min.!!!!! So you have to replace a fuel filter every 5 hours, I mean heavan forbid you have to spend the whole 1 min. of replacing the filter while you could be on these forums b!tching at everyone but yourself. Lubing and adjusting the chain on this quad is just like ANY OTHER QUAD. If you think you don't have to check for loose bolts on other quads, you're crazy.

If this maintanance is hard for you, you will probably end up being some fat old guy that hasn't taken a shower in 3 weeks because it's to much work to clean all the beer off of yourself.

Corndog... get a new hobby. Try being a skateboarder or BMX rider... you don't have to do any maintanance on those things.

Amen...that's what I do with my quads, and you can bet my boys are in the garage with me learning, maintaining &amp; modding. I have almost, not quite, but almost as much fun maintaining my quads as I do riding them.

Maintance on my quads aren't what a Raptor would be either, but that's the point. The more high performance you go, you should expect more maintance. When my grizzly gets 686'd this month, I'll expect the maintance to increase. Lastly, I do maintance on my cummins diesel..not that's it abundently called for, but I've just found that no matter what you own, if you maintain it, it will perform up to your expectations and last longer and this goes for the typical push lawn mower up to a high performance quad.

Again, my 2.357 cents.

When I was 5 I got a mini bike. When it broke I would watch my dad fix it. The next time the same thing broke he would say &quot;you saw me fix it the first time now it's your turn&quot; If I wasn't paying attention it stayed broke till I figured it out.

When I got older I had to mow yards or somthing to make money to get a motorcycle, I paid half &amp; my folks paid half. I had to do all the matinence my self &amp; if it broke I fixed it.

I work on my Raptor at least 3 hours a week, as soon as I get back from riding I wash it &amp; do a thourough check over on it. I would be embarrased if I went riding &amp; something fell off, &amp; riding it when something is wrong with it, That ain't gonna happen. I pay for all my toys &amp; do all the work on them so I take care of them.
