Please report back on problems!

Hey guys, for everyone who has posted issues with their C'dales, it would be nice when you're problem is resolved, if you could post back here and give us all updates. This will help us if your problem appears down the road for us. I know alot of people already do this but alot do not. I for one am always curious on how a particular problem was resolved if it was resolved at all. We all know since these quads are so new we are going to experience some problems time to time and with all this new technology, these problems are going to be different than what we've experienced in the past. Some of us also do not have experienced dealers that we can call and get expert advise on problems so the more knowledge we can share with one another, the better off we all will be.
So just scrolling back a bit, Nut posted a problem with his Speed stalling alot, Nut, did you have a chance to increase your idle and did that solve the problem? Also Crashed posted his C'dale just quit running, did you end up finding the problem? I know there have been more posts but chances are most of these problems will/have got resolved by the new updates Cannondale has out.
I personally haven't had any of the updates performed except the cold weather update when I sent my computer off to have the Moto map downloaded. My quad runs great so I haven't seen a need to take it in but I guess I probably should. I've always felt, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

hi briansgi, as I had posted a week ago my Cannibal just quit running all of sudden. After doing everything I know how ( including looking up Cannondale web site for service and tecnical bulletins), finally took it to the dealer and had them look at it. The problem? no compression!! I'm not a very happy camper right now. My guess is that the ring/piston went bad- after only 7-8 hours of riding. have gone through exactly three tankful of gas so far.And it's out of warrentee as I got it last fall-I live in Northern Wisconsin as a result I burned less then a tank of gas last fall and then I just started to run it again about three weeks ago and then this happened. Should find out in next day or two exactly what's causing no compression. My dealer is really good about service so I'm going to wait and see before I fly off the handle. Also, I ordered a Moto couple of weeks ago and should get it this week but this thing happening does not build a lot of confidence in Cannondale. I like what Cannondale is trying to do and that's why I have supported them thus far but I have never had problems with my other new machines before. I'll keep you all posted.

WOW crash I am really sorry to hear that, if your dealer don't do anything see if cannondale will step in under the circumstances. As we all know people with hundreds of hours on thier dales, I hope this is an isolated case. Good luck!

Ok here is my dilema. I bought my Cannibal in late February rode it for 2 weeks and noticed anti freeze out of the head gasket. Took it back to the dealers where it took 2 weeks to get it fixed. I was mad about the length of the stay, but they really worked with me. I ordered the remap and hmf exhaust from r&s performance who have been great. I receieved them this past friday installed them onto the quad and fired it up. 30 mins later I notice dripping from the water pump weep hole. It has now been only 3 months and I am looking at 3 weeks without a quad. I love the quad and service I have recieved, but this is bull****. Enough venting for now. Just wanted to let everyone know my problems.

Derno24, sorry to hear about the problems and the downtime, I can sympathize!! One thing you might consider is asking either your dealer or Cannondale to extend your 6 month warranty due to the problems and downtime you've encountered. They may say no but it won't hurt to ask, knowing how great Cannondale's customer service is, I'll bet they'll do it.

had sometime to think about things today as I was driving to work. ,
I like power- lots of power, in fact too much is not enough. I've had/have banshi, 400ex, bored out Wolverine 435 which does mean wheelies, Raptor (Yamaha neutered it!) and now the C-dale. I originally bought the C-dale because they were willing to take a chance on a concept and to compete with other atv manufacturers which are run by lawyers and bean-counters. I also liked the idea that Cannondale is going after it all- none of this utility 4x4 "safe" marketing wise quads. So I'm going to be patient because if you want power and performance from atv, there is no one else right now.
