I own a 2001 fx400, it has a brand new 2002 motor with only 15 hours on it and has the 1000ecm computer system. I have an HMF and moto mapping. It is in very good condition with only a few scratches on the plastic(normal wear)

Does it have the 2002 front end fixes??? If so consider yourself the owner of a speed with fx plastic!!!

Uh... Dex... a Speed with FX plastics is pretty much an early Cannibal.

You guys are correct other than the rpm limit, 11600 on the speed and 10600 for the cannibal and fx400's.

Well yeah, we did say "pretty much." Because the Speed has the Tag handle bars too.

Man, I saw a Moto 440 at the track yesterday (actually I raced against him) and that thing looked mean. It had a walsh swing arm, PEP ZPS all around, Carbon fiber radiator shrouds, carbon fiber gas tank cover, and Cannondale # plates that look very cool (tribal art flames :cool I want a moto 440... LOL. That thing sat down as low as any 250R I have ever seen and the stock pipe wasn't loud at all. It was louder than mine ofcourse, but not louder than my friends 400ex w/ Yosh full race exhaust. Even the brake rotors looks OH SO SWEET. Those PEP's felt awesome... I wonder if they feel better than the Ohlins that come on it? Anyone know which feels better/smoother? The silver plastic looks cool but I think it would look better if it was silver and black like the ol' FX's instead of silver and red. Which reminds me, I saw a Cannondale dirtbike at that same track yesterday and that thing could pull away from anyone in a straight away but the guy wasn't really to fast and people usually caught him in the corners and on jumps.

I just ordered PEP/ZPS's for my son's R, they are the best shocks you can guy in my opinion. That's why most all the top pro's run them including Tim Farr, Johnny Hale, etc. The Ohlin's are good shocks but in no way do they compare to the PEP ZPS shocks.

Some people make no sense... Why would they buy a Moto, then spend all that money on PEP ZPS shocks and a Walsh swingarm. Might as well buy a Speed or Cannibal and save $4-5 grand!

I was kind of wondering about the swing arm my self, but I can understand why he would get new shocks. Some people have their preferences and he probably liked the PEP much more than the Ohlins. Those PEP's sure were SWEET, and that swing arm, along w/ all the other carbon fiber stuff really made it look COOL.
