on the raptor forum yodaddy had mentioned about maybe cutting some holes in the nose with some outwears stretched over to let the dale breath better. It does seem that it would be hard for air to get up in there, anyone else thought of this or have any input.

I bet you could get a nice boost of power out of it. Everyone says how big of a difference the airbox mods make on the Z400 and Raptor and if they have the "snorkle" style intake like on the 400ex and 300ex, they actually get some decent air stock w/o any modding. On the C-dales, it looks like the air has to squeeze in a tiny opening next to where the headlights are mounted (unless there is another way that I don't know of), so I imagine that cutting some openings into the front plastics on that "squared part" between the headlights would let a whole butt load more air in. Couldn't get much better than that... direct air flow to the filter right at the front of the machine.

Like Dex said, what do yall think?

da&m cannitor, as I was reading your post I thought of the same thing.

He would definitely be sucking more air with that nose peice, wonder how it works out for him...powerwise.

i wonder if the computer would automatically compensate for the additional air flow or would you have to make a laptop adjustment?
and while we are talking air flow ...does anybody make an aftermarket filter?

I'm almost posotive that that Quad Tech nose peace (which is fiber glass) bolts on over the stock plastics, but with that cover, you could just completely shave that square part away (huge opening) and bolt that nose peace over it. I would still get an outerwears cover to stick behind the opening.

I put some electrical tape on the area that I was planning on cutting out and you are right, it does look like nostrils. It still looks cool though IMO, and that added w/ my mad eye covers makes my "phsycotic frog (sp?)" look even more insane.

Why don't you call your dealers, or even Cannondale and see if the EFI automatically compensates for increased/decreased air flow. If it does, I would start cutting immediately!
