Which one Cannibal or z400
#1
Ok here's the deal i can get a refurbished cannibal for 5100 dollars out the door or i could get a z400 for 5000 dollars out the door, my question is which one should i get. I do alot of woods riding , motocrossing on a track on my grandads farm and competitive racing, and sand duning.
I am sorta leaning towards gettin' the dale but i have heard some good things about the z400.
Any help would be much appreciated

It sounds like the dale would be your best choice and I"m not just saying that because I own one. They are awesome for racing and have lots of power. On the other hand, if you don't like maintanance, get the Z400. That is the only reason (and reverse too) that I would consider a Z400. I'm not saying they are not good machines, because they look pretty awesome to me, but if you like to get out and haul ***, the Dale is just the ticket.

Personally, I don't think the Cannondale is for everyone. It has an incredible power curve that really feels like a two stroke. I have spent time on one at a track and you really have to know what you are doing to ride it correctly - in other words, it is not a confidence-inspiring quad like a 400ex. Having said that, if you want the fastest production quad out there and know your way around a quad then look no further.
I see the LT-Z400 as a step up from a 400ex but not a powermonger like a raptor, c'dale, or banshee. It *could* be turned into one though with $$$. If you know that you want the most powerful quad because you like to drag up the sand dunes then no question, c'dale is the best bargin. If you want a fun trail quad that can also do well at the dunes then the LT-Z400 is probably the best quad for it right now.

Thats very true, but once you learn that it's ok to rev it out real high, it does give you a lot of confidence in the air due to the fact that it is very easy to whip around and it doesn't feel to heavy on either end, front or back. With a banshee, I feel more like I have to "carry" it through the air while on a R or my Dale, it feels like I can just ride it up the jump and then when the need arises, I can easily "whip" the quad around for a nice landing. The 400ex does seem more forgiving on a jump than a Dale is, but only if you hit the jump at high revs and don't shift up on the Dale when your in the air. If you hit the jump at high revs and just leave it in that gear when you land, you can feel that engine braking or something even when you're on the gas. When you shift up mid-air, the landing is usually smooth as can be. If you hit a jump at mid revs in some gear, you can just leave it in that gear and it doesn't have the same affect... which is common sence but I thought I just needed to point that out.

"Which quad Handles better"
c'dale
"which wheelies better."
Both
"and which one has the best ergonomics"
Purely preference here because thaey are both good. You will want to add your own touches(bars, ect).
What do you currently ride? Do you race or are you just getting started? No bad answer to either but experience may be a factor you want to consider.

Tough call. I know the Dale is gonna rock when I race it. The Z's are very good in the dunes. My Dale heats up in the dunes the Z doesn't. My brother and I will be racing mx in a little while when the aftermarket A arms and shocks arrive for his Z. Tough call. I like the made in the USA part!!! Toss a coin!!!
