Thanks for the updated info Patrick, so much for that idea!! Sounds like C'dale got wise and changed some geometry points just enough to prevent us from using "other" aftermarket frontend components!!
I had no idea the a-arm mounts were a little different between the FX and the Cannibals.

How much did you guys have to pay for remapping? Do you have to do it if you change the exhaust? Like, if I get a cannibal and get it moto mapped, will that mapping work on any exhaust? Do the exhaust companies send map info. with their pipes? Did they fix the tie-rod end problem in '03? Brian, are you going to extremeworld tomorrow?

Hey Knowsalot,
I read somewhere and I believe that it was Cannondale's site before they updated the page for the moto that it had a 12,600 rev limit. What happened to that? Now that they have the picture of what the moto actually wound up looking like for production it says 11,600 just like the other Dales.

All information that I have gotten still states 11,600 as being the limit.

I'm not saying that it wasn't changed to 12,600,...But if it was.....I haven't been informed of the change yet.

The remapping will work with any exhaust. In fact, you COULD just get a new exhaust and not remap, and due to the fact that C-dales automatically compensate for changes (kind of rejets itself) it would run just fine, BUT I don't think it would be a great idea in the long run. The good thing about the whole remapping and exhaust thing is that when you get your computer back, hook up the exhaust, and be on your way w/o having to "fine tune" it so that it doesn't back fire or run like crap at a certain RPM range. The Dales computer will have it running perfectly right when you hook the computer back up and bolt that silencer on... or atleast this is what Kyle or Carey (can't remember who) told me. Thats pretty sweet... when you watch some of those other bikes and stuff on the track (especially the 426's and 450's) you can just hear that they need to make adjustments and they're always sitting in the pits messing w/ that carb., trying to get it tuned right.

LOL... Carbs... who needs em?

I'm not saying it was changed from 11.6k to 12.6k I'm saying just the opposite. When Cannondale had the pictures of the moto up that showed it sitting very low with the a-arms straight out to the side the stats said the moto had a rev limit of 12.6k. Now that the actual production moto is in the picture and it looks different the rev limit number on the stat page has been changed to 11.6k just like the speed and the blaze. For all I know it was a typo on the moto stat page and they fixed it when the quad went into production. I did hear 2 different dealers (Batavia, NY and Syracuse, NY) quoting the 12.6k rev limit before the quad became available.

Chris I PM'd you but maybe you haven't checked it yet, I also emailed you. Extreme World pissed me off a few weeks ago, we went out to practice and the owner walked up to me and said he wasn't going to allow quads to practice any more, the bikes were complaining too much so we are only racing currently at Sunset.

If you are going to have a more aggressive map downloaded, you will be better off with an aftermarket exhaust, it will defeat the purpose for the most part of changing the computer map. Everyone knows the stock exhaust are very restrictive. I emailed you the price I paid for the remap I had done by R&S Performance, check out their web site:

I was also wondering about moto parts on the cannibal. Will the pro-peg nerfs, headlight block-offs, and ohlin steering dampener mount right up to a cannibal. Does the moto come with headlights?

Will the pro-peg nerfs? Yes, but you may have to message them into place.

eadlight block-offs? You have to buy them.

Ohlin steering dampener mount right up to a cannibal? I believe they are using the WER and if your steering stem has the welded on bracket it should bolt right up.

Does the moto come with headlights? Yup.
