Cut fenders
#2
Mark them off the way you want them and EVENLY with some electrical tape and then either use a hack saw or a grinder with a narrow cutting wheel. When your done, get some fairly rough sand paper and sand the edges so that they are straight w/ no big "bumps" in them, and then use some fine sand paper to make them smooth.
Check out some pics of my shaved fenders in the "My Pics" section of my website. If my website doesn't work for some reason, PM me and I'll e-mail you some pics.

I outline first with pencil, the best tool I have found is a dry wall hand saw. They have much larger teeth than a hack saw and it cuts extremely well. These small saws are available almost every where, mine is only 10-12 inches long. After it's cut, get some 80 grit sand paper and smooth out some of the edges, then move to a 200 grit for a final sanding, mine looks like they came from the factory!!

Good news. Fenders are cut and look awsome. After the first cut, most of the fear of messing them up went away. After the fenders were cut and sanded and sanded and sanded, I put on the Quad Tech hood and seat cover I got from R & S and I love the new look. I am going to take pictures and get them developed today. Can someone tell me how to post them, or can I e-mail them to someone to post for me? I just can't figure out how to get the link. Thanks.
