New steering stem / My stupidity
#1
Ok so I decide to race in my 2nd harescramble of my life. I was riding in the 4 stroke c class and I noticed out of 30 or so quads about 4 or 5 cannondales running in this class. Anyway, back to my stupidity. Race starts and I couldn't get it turned over right away, I was 2nd to last to get it started, last was a guy on a speed. So now we are going it is time to make up some ground. Clear the hill and I get one guy in the first corner. Then we are in the trees and I get 2 more guys. As we start heading down this hill I look to the left and say what the hell lets go for it. I could have gotten about 3 more, but I soon realized why nobody went this way. As I am running over the grass which is about 1ft to 1ft and half tall I see a tree stump. Drilled it at about 15 to 20 mph. I went flying clear acroos the path. Luckily for the quad, just kidding, it landed on a guy he was still on his bike with my seat in his face. I get up run over to the quad flip it off of him and I do a quick look over. Crap the handle bars look bent to hell. Fire it up and notice the clutch handle was all screwed up. Now I haven't even been racing for 10 mins and I was just about done for the day. I pull everything into place and away I go. Still can't steer very well and I can't really pull in the clutch. I head for this hill about another 10 mins later and gun it. It was a big hill. I then clipped a big rock and it flipped me off, but I kept the quad on all 4's. Well here is the coup de gras flattened both front tires. Well I counted me body parts made sure they were all there and putted away to the end of the track went back to the truck and called it a day. I finished only 1 lap. I then look at the bars and notice they are fine, it is the steering stem bent to hell.
Which brings me to my question, What kind of steering stem should I get to replace my really bent one???

Well atleast I'm not the only one that didn't have the greatest racing weekend, lol.
Call R&S Performance and order a Walsh racing stem. Walsh has some excellent products... very high quality. I would LOVE to get some Walsh racing a-arms but I'm poor and an investment like that is out of the question right now.

MrP: crap I already ordered the arens...I don't have $350 to spend right at the moment. Unfortunately I don't really have the $200 to spend on the other, but I need to ride. Thanks for the help I will keep the number for future crashes..
NittroT: Jack frost the MX tracks is pretty cool, but make sure you have skid plates for the enduro trails. It tends to be extremely rocky in parts. Still not all that bad though. I don't mind some rocks, but be careful there are some that we eat you whole.
