Trading My Cannibal for a Z?
#1
No, I don't think so! But I will tell you this. My fiance got a Z400 today, and it is a incredible machine. I love it. It is a perfect machine for a woman. (no offense Z owners, but it's the truth). What you may have heard about it keeping up with the Dale is definetely BS. BUT, it isn't too darn shabby. The power is very smooth. The ride is BETTER than the Dale... Until things get aggressive. Three or four feet of air was getting close to bottoming on the front for my 200# *** if I landed a little on the front. The rear feels good. Power delivery and acceleration, IMHO, isn't a pimple on a Dales butt, but they say it will be with a few $'s. Price is definitely worth it. She got hers for $5,200 OTD plus a $80 helmet threw in. That's with no tax, as she's a farmer . There is no engine vibration like on my Cannibal. It doesn't bug me, but she doesn't like her hands vibrated. It's WAY quieter than a dale, She likes that. The reverse is extremely user friendly. All in all, this is a wonderful addition to the sport quad world.
Oh yeah, another thing is it's white. I think it's super sharp in that color.
Also, the reason I say it's perfect for a woman, is because it is SOOOO easy to ride. A dale isn't that machine, nor is it for a beginner (you know, if you hit the throttle, you better be hangin on!). I think just about anyone could jump on the Z and love it, experienced or not. JUST MY OPINION!

The Z is definitely easier to ride than a Cannon. You can jump right on and feel very comfortable and confident with the machine. My brother has a Cannibal and the throttle response is awesome, with power everywhere. I am personally happy with the way the Cannons run stock.
I just installed a Yoshimura full system on my Z and as soon as I get it jetted right,(need to richen the pilot more) we will drag race and I'll post the results. Should be close, cause I feel the pipe woke the Z up quite a bit.
The biggest difference to me between the two is the middle section on each quad. The Z is real slim where as the Dale seems bulky. To me it's much easier to move around on the Z compared to the Dale. They are both comparable in jumping and cornering. Although I think the Dale is better in the whoops. Just my thoughts.

I have to agree, the Dale is a lot more bulky at the front of the seat. I am tall and it bruises my knees when I get agressive. I personally think the pipe would have to REALLY wake up the Z for it to compete with the Dale. A higher rev limit would help a bunch. I've had several different quads, so I can ride pretty good, but my fiancee is a beginner. Still, she could smoke me in a drag by several lengths when she was on the Dale. It just pulls WAY harder in my opinion. I'm scared to see what that 450 big papa kit will do to the Z though. Things may be the other way around then!
