I have run MX for 2 years now on my 250R. I sink every dime I get into it and still have to pull up beside aftermarket frames and cylinders. I really dont have that kind of money to get the power outta the R. I mean the R is great but it costs to much to get it up to that level. I am setting at like $9,000 in my R and still have a lot of stuff thats not done to it. So I am very seriously just thinking about selling it and buying a Moto. However there is some questions I was curious about. First of all reliablitly, not so much as bearings and stuff like that I am talking motor. If it is messing up (like missing and stuff) am I going to have to take it to the dealer and have it hooked up to a computer to find out what is wrong? And has this happened to anyone? Second, will weather affect the mapping? Third I have heard that Cannondale is great with customer service but what is there warranty on new quads? Please give me some honest answers I love my R to death but this is the future (Cannondale's) plus I wont really have to wait on parts every week...or atleast I hope not. What major problems have come from the Moto's that I should know about. I guess they come with everything right? I have read on here that people is putting after market a-arms and shocks but thats not on the moto right, they come ready to race? Thanks for your time!

Yeah, the moto's are race ready. I don't think they have any warranty, but I'm not sure. I think the Cannibal and Speed are the only ones with a warranty, because the other two are for "competition use".

Yamracer,

Funny name for a 250R racer.LOL

The moto comes set up to race, Turn key, push green button, go. You can also get a canibal or speed and get your own a-arms and shocks and save a few dollars.

If the quad hickups, which is rare, you can buy the software for around $300 to tell you what is going on.

Weather does not effect the mapping. It will adjust to the enviroment it is running it. No more jetting.

Warrenty is 6 months on all quads.

If I was starting over I would still get the SPEED and add what I wanted.

Hope that helps.

Smitty

Smitty, the warranty paper I received with my Cannibal stated that only the Speed and 'bull are warranted, because, as Blackbird said, the Blaze and Moto are for competition use. That said, I'd bet my Cannibal that if you bought a Moto or Blaze, entered a race, and it locked up--they'd fix it. Probably not 3 or 4 months later, but in the short term, I think they'd take care of ya'. The Moto is SWEEEET. The stretched out, larger tubes on the A-arms with thise mondo shocks- those things look like they're 3 feet long!! The fat diameter of those Tag bars!! Edit: Almost forgot about the too cool wave discs all around, too! Toooo cool!! I had to clean off the seat and gas tank from all the drewl that rolled off my lip!!! I told the sales guys I needed the key to take it out back to wash it. Why were they just laughing at me?!?!

Too much money for me, though.

Thanks for all the answers! I will probably end up getting one after I sell my R and crotch rocket. Its a lot of money but every week i was buying something for my R. I mean its still 14 years old. Unless if you just have the money to buy everything new then stuff breaks. I called a shop in my area this morning and he even offers race sponserships. He said it depended on how many races and stuff you ride in but they will even offer a full sponsership. I am assuming that is you buying the quad but they do everything it needs for you. He told me that the partial and full sponsership is where he will do all mapping and anything like that for nothing. I just think this deal is too good. Well thanks agian for your answers!

PS the name I havent changed since I used to run my good ol warrior. I will change it one day! LOL

The Moto is just insane. Its the fastest quad ive ever ridden. No warrenty for Moto or Blaze.
