Well today I tried to go up a "very" steep hill and at the very top front came off the ground. So I let off of the gas and pulled both brakes and still slid backwards. That is until I hit a somewhat flat part on the hill, which caused the front end to go over, so I bailed and my quad rolled down this hill. After that I assessed the damage and handlebars got annialated. In fact it hit so hard it caused the steering stem to move down an inch or so, it didn't bend but it caused the bearing at the bottom to pop out and well I have no idea what to do about that. Some help would be great!!!

I also f@#ked up the right front so I am going to order the Hypertech carbon fibers tomorrow. I put the quad and jack stands and checked how all the wheels rolled and all of them wobble. Is this normal or have I bent every wheel. No its not the axle in the rear. I really need help on both these situations!!

ANYTIME i have hit the back brake on a steep hill I have rolled. That is a no-no. The only thing is, It's a hellava ride either way, and if the hill is very long, your prolly gonna roll anyway!

Sorry to hear about it Cannydale! sounds like the quad held up to the abuse pretty well though. Bent Itp's are sure no surprise. Are your lug/hub and axle nuts torqued to spec?
Sounds like a good excuse to get The carbon fibre wheels. They look great.

Cannydale, try giving Cannondale a call. If you get to talk to one of the tech guys, he'll be able to help you out with the bearing problem. If for some strange reason, he can't help you, give R&S performance a call. (812) 279-5833 (got the phone number memorized... sad huh?)

Mods- I'm not advertising another company. More like giving him a friends phone # so he can get some good advise.

How can Cannondale help him? They aren't standing there looking at it.
I'm sure cannydale can figure it out. If not he oughta take it to his dealer instead of bugging the guys busy working on our next great quad. Don't ya think?
Course, i'm assuming his dealer is better than your's, Yo.

Actually, my dealer sucks at least for cannondale they do. I bought the first and so far the only C'dale from them. They did get a speed after I bought mine and that was 4-5 months ago. Not sure if they sold it yet but hey at least they are trying right!!

I did get the steering stem fixed but still not sure about the wheel issue. Is it possible to bend a hub? They seem pretty tough to me so I dought that is the cause. I guess I will just ride the hell out of it until something breaks. The wheels don't wobble to bad, I mean they don't affect it while riding. At least I don't think they do, not sure yet waiting on shops to open tomorrow to get new bars. No shops are open on Sunday or Monday around here and it is BS. So I guess the real test will be tomorrow, it is kind of hard to tell how normal it rides when you only have the right side handlebar to hold on to down by your knee. The left side broke completely off and just kind of dangled there by the clutch and start button. I hope this all made sense its kind of late and I'm very tired "construction kills you in the summer".

I will say cannondale makes one tough *** quad. My buddy rolled his new 02 raptor about a month ago not nearly as bad as I did mine and he bent the steering stem barely bent the handlebars broke the trottle body. All I really did was crush the handlebars and "kind of" screw up the lower stem bearing. Well thats it for me right now to much typing and thinking at this hour!
