Stupid Question about Ohlins
#1
I have a easy question to answer. I bought a 03 LE, Arvins fronts. The valving and oil section was on bottom, with the chrome shaft positioned up.
I bought retroZ's Ohlins fronts, and with the word Ohlins positioned where you can read it, thats upside down compared to the Arvins.
I mounted them with the word Ohlins where you can read it, chrome shaft side down, is that right, or does it matter? It looks like that would be the best dirt protection.
Thanks!

I am not sure if they are upside down or not but it make a ton of difference. You will be working the rebound valve and not the compression and vis versa. This could mess you up bad so I would go to the dealer and check it out before I ride.

Ok, I guess I'll ask this then. On the Speed models (or cannibals with Ohlins), can you read the word "Ohlins", or is it upside down? That would be the answer. I'm not with my quad right now, so I'm not sure about the preload on top or bottom.
