I was thinking about putting pep shocks on my ex but I don't want to put a fortune into a quad that I'm not keeping for the long haul. My question is would these shocks work on a Dale? I've heard the Ohlins from the speed will work on an ex but I'm wondering if I ordered Ohlins for an ex would they give me the same shocks as the ones on a Dale? I heard the frame geometry is very similar in some areas but I don't just want it to work I want it to be right.

 

I had a buddy that put elka's from a 400ex on a speed. The only thing he had to do was to add a couple of shims to the shock do to a longer travel. The shock should work with no problem. I would check for bottoming out and add shims if needed.
