questions about c-dales?
#1
I went to a dealership today to look at Cannondale quads. He told me that for around $300 to $400 you could get this thing that mounted to the handle bars that you programed three map setting in and then you could choose which mapping you wanted for the conditions you were riding in. I don't know if its push button or a dial that you turn, but he said you could change it while you were riding. I wanted to know if anybody had this, and was wondering how it works, because it sounds SWEET. Also he had two Cannibals there, one had an Ohlin rear shock, and the other had a fox rear shock. They are both 2003. Why? Is the Fox shock any good? and finally, Which one should I buy a Cannibal or a Speed? He told me for a small fee he would put Ohlins on the front of the Cannibal if I really wanted them. What do you guys think of all this?
Thanks

I HAVE A CANNONDALE AND IT IS THE BEST.THAT CONTROL MOUNT THE DEALER IS TALKING ABOUT SOUNDS BAD *** IF THAT IS REALLY HOW IT WORKS. THERE IS HARDLY ANY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE CANNIBAL AND THE SPEED, JUST THE CLUTCH AND SHOCKS. MY DAD HAS A CANNIBAL AND HIS CAME W/ OHLINS FRONT AND BACK, IT WAS AN 02.I DONT THINK THEY WOULD GIVE YOU OHLINS FOR THE 03 BUT YOU SHOULD CHECK GOOD LUCK. FRONT OHLINS ARE GREAT

From what I understand you can store different maps programmed into those buttons. So instead of taking the computer to a dealer and him downloading a new map you can just punch a button and change. Pretty sweet setup. If your looking for an awesome quad that is blazingly fast and dont plan to make any upgrades then the cannibal is for you. Each model as you go up in price has more aftermarket stuff standard. So if you want the ohlins, a higher rev limit, a different map, then you get the speed. Check out the cannondale sight for more info.
