Is it true that all of the Cannondales are essentially the same except for mapping?

Do some have better suspensions?

What all is involved in changing the mapping, and how much does it cost?

Could you buy the low-end cannibal with mapping for dune riding for the same price as the stock Cannibal??

If you could answer all these questions, it would be of great help to me!

Thanks!

i'm not sure about the mapping but i do know that the cannibal doesn't have as good suspension as the moto or other models but i'm sure it still is a good quality shock

The motors on all the C-dales are the same. The Cannibal has a 10,600 RPM limit, and the other 4 have a 11,600 limit, but you can have someone hook the computer up to a lap top and change the mapping (which is basically the power curve and rev limiter) to match any of the other 4 quads. The Cannibal has Arvin's or Fox shocks (I was lucky and got one of the earlier Cannibals w/ the Ohlins), the Speed has preload adjustable front Ohlins, and preload/rebound/compression adjustable rear Ohlins, the 2 race ready quads have Ohlin's "ZPS" style shocks. The cannibal has steel handle bars, compared to the other four's aluminum TAG fat bars. The Cannibal has a regular seat cover while the other 4 have a "gripper" seat cover. The Blaze and Moto have Nerfs, FMF Titanium exhaust, wave brake rotors, steel braided brake lines all around, and steering dampner. The Moto has beadlocks on the rear w/ Holeshot MX's all around and is 50 inches wide and has a map that is more aggressive for MX. The Blaze is set up for Woods racing and I think it also has beadlocks and a map that is more woods friendly. The Glamis has a map that works better in the dunes and has sand tires all around.

That's all I can think of right now. If I left something out, I'm sure someone else will fill you in.

Wow! Sounds like there are a few more differences than I realized! Thanks!

Suspension isn't as big of a deal to me since I ride in the sand (I'm sure the stock shocks work just fine for that).

Where is the power curve located for the "Glamis" mapping?

Would it cost me any more to just get a Cannibal and have them put the Glamis mapping in it?

Thanks!

You should be able to work out a remap w/ your dealer for no cost. the top end quads have 3 preset maps that can be changed on the fly but if you only ride in the dunes no problem.
