piped and ported banshee's with carbs and all the goods can have more than 56hp
i just read an article comparing the yz 426 to 450 they acually said the yz was faster and had better acceleration however they said the cr was easier to drive but i'm sure either engine will have lots of power

Nice thing about those CRF motors are the valves. They do need to be looked at quite often. On Thumper Talks they have pages dedicated to the problem.

Quads running good. It would help if I didn't stall it out the gate. I take it this week to get Dyno runs.

If money is no object, the obvious choice here is the KTM motor. Look at one of the past issues a few months ago in DW's, they did an article on a quad that had the KTM motor. It's by far the baddest thing out there.

You can in fact get a crate CR450 motor but it doesn't come with anything else. By the time you pay for a carb, electronics, oil lines, oil reservoir, etc., etc., you got way too much money in it.

You can have all the power in the world cranking out of your motor, BUT you still have to ride it. And if you cant ride it, what is all that power doing for you?

Yamaharacer- How much experience in MX do you have? I would hope alot if you want a motor that puts out over 60hp. Thats insane! If I were you I would buy a Moto 440 or either build a yz426 or cr450 and leave them stock because they are going to be more than powerful enough.

We have both C-dale and YZF426 We are winning with both in MX expert. We loaned the c-dale to a novice and a amature rider. Neither one of them did well. We know its not the quad. If you want the best quad for the money, get the moto440 !!!!!!
