bought a new '02 cannibal on tuesday, and took it out wednesday. I did a pretty good job of controlling myself and following the break in schedule. I did notice however that the engine would miss as the rpms rose a little. The fuel and air filters are both good, and the spark plug looks good. I took it out today and started getting on it, and the miss is still there. It seems like the rpms have to be quite a higher than on wednesday before it starts missing, but it still misses (I'm almost positive that I'm not even near the rev limiter). Anyone have an idea what I should look at now?

Is it normal for the cooling fan to run for a minute or so after everything is shut off?

One more thing, the owners manual says to use 93 octane gas, but all of the stations around town have 91 octane as the highest. Is it ok to run the 91?

Is it a miss or slight backfire with 11.5 to 1 conpresion lower octane fuel will cause a lean condition causing the backfire the higher the octane the more resistant to burning the fuel is.

I guess it could be like a backfire, but not like I usually think of it. It sounds like a rapid succession of relatively quiet paa paa paa....

The dealership filled it for me, so who knows what they put in it.

Its 12.5:1. Your cannibal will idle higher when its cold. The idle goes down when its warm.

Its aight. Does it baffle when you reving it up and let off the gas and roll without giving it gas. I heard its because the dales run lean.
